Kavi Art Book in Nagari The Goa Literary Academy has brought out a Nagari version of Bappa's Konkani book. It is scheduled for release on August 9th at a function in Mangalore. T.M.A. Pai Award for Amma The T.M.A. Pai Foundation is honoring Amma for her pioneering work in documenting Konkani Wedding Songs (see: Suragyasar). On the occasion Amma remembered "Puranikmam" the gentleman who had collected a number of these "vovi" songs and was prompted Amma to write the book. Link to News Brief at Deccan Herald Amma in Honavar Amma is currently in Honavar arranging programs for Kamat Foundation. You can meet her in Honavar or in Mangalore on 9th of August, when Bappa's Konkani book will be released in a function.
