S.K.Shama Sundara at ThatsKannada has started a excellent new feature called "Hiriyarige Namaskara" (in Kannada, meaning "In Memory of Elders"). It features unsung heroes of Karnataka -common and uncommon people who showed great courage and character in 20th century India. Each feature is accompanied by a balck-and-white photo, which by themseleves tell a story. Today entry features Bhikku Vasudev Kamat, the elder-brother of my grandfather is remembered.
