What is Content Scheduling?
Content scheduling is defined as automatic distribution of electronic content according to a pre-determined schedule. Publishers can maximize their return on investment by appropriately timing their stories to coincide with an anticipated news event.
While producing Kamat's Potpourri, we try to highlight a story whenever we see an increased demand for it. For example, during the second week of August, our coverage of India's Freedom Struggle always gets emphasized.
Content scheduling allows amateur websites such as ours take vacations (the website will continue to be published and updated automatically) as well as rotate stories based on emerging news stories. Associated with every story is a date of publication, on which the CMS publishes them automatically, and lists in What's New pages.
