Kathak Dance
Kathak is an important style of Indian classical dance originating in North India. It took a clear form during the Mogul rule and blended a fine mixture of Hindu and Muslim traditions. In this form, rhythm is as important as the depiction of emotions. It was popularized by dancing girls of Indian courts.
