Introduction
For ten years since starting Kamat's Potpourri (started 1995), we deliberately stayed away from providing reliable tourist information, because that was not the motive with which we started this website, and due to the responsibility involved in providing authentic data, maps, and tips.
However, one of the most common questions we are asked is about traveling to India, and we decided to document the answers we have provided privately. Most of the information is in the form of questions and answers. We have included the stories of our own trips of India, and provided links to articles and information for tourists (both domestic, and those visiting India) who wish to explore the lesser known areas and artifacts.
