V. N. Jog
He was born at Havanu. After taking the Law degree of the Bombay University he set up his practice at Dharwar. He is the President, the Karnatak Educational Society, the southern Marata Urban Cooperative institute and of the primary Education Board.
For many years he was a member of the A.I.C.C and the K.P.C.C. He was the President of the Dharwar District Khadi Board and donated Rs. 1200 for the spread of khadi. In 1924 he was elected to the Bombay Council topping the polls. Again in 1926 he was returned to the Council on the Congress ticket. In 1930 he resigned his men. Membership as a protest against Gandhiji's arrest. In 1937 he was elected to the Assembly.
Mr. Jog is endowed with the rare gift of power and tenacity of purpose. His industry is a legend.
