U. Srinivas

Shri U.Srinivas, a child prodigy was initiated into music by his father Shri U. Satyanarayana. Later Shri Rudraraju Subbaraju discovered his latent talent and taught him Karnataka music. Shri Srinivas is the first famous exponent of Karnataka music on mandolin with which he has carved him self a place among top musician of the country. He has been all over the world several times and won many awards and honors including 'Kalaimamani' sangeet natak academy award from Tamil Nadu government. Shri Srinivas was appointed as a state artist of  Tamilnadu government in 1984 for three years.
