Suryakant Khaladkar

Shri Suryakant Khaladkar was born in 1936 in Pune. He is well known sundari player, who plays shahanai also. He is trained under the able guidance of  his father Shri Baburao Khaladkar, who is well known shahanai player. Suryakant Khaladkar performs khayals, thumri, dhun and stage songs with equal proficiency on his instrument. He plays gayaki style on sundari and his performance is always pleasant and aesthetically rich. Since 1962 he has been giving performances in different cities of India.
