K.Sakthi Vadivel Gounder

Mr.S.V.Gounder was born in 1908. He was educated at the American College, Madura and the Agricultural College, Coimbatore. He participated in the C.D movement and was appointed the Dictator of his Taluk. During the struggle he courted imprisonment. The hardship of the prison steeled his heart.

He made history by crushing like an eggshell his formidable opponent, Sir P.T.Rajan who was supported by a powerful bureaucratic machine. The glorious knight secured 9372 votes while Gounder polled 24,742 votes.

He is a hero in the strife and a force in the political life.
