H.P. Mehta

Mr. H.P.Mehta was born at Ahemdabad, June 19th 1882. as a student he took to national service. In 1902 he became the joint- editor of "Hitechu". He was also the Secretary of the social and literary associations. After the Nagpur Congress he joined the Non-Cooperative movement. Ever since he has remained an ardent Congressman.

In 1930 he participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement and sentenced to three months imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 250. Again he was arrested in 1932 and sentenced to one years imprisonment and a fine of Rs.2000.

Mr. Mehta is the most intense expression of nationalism in public life.
