Abstract:The Mathura Museum was inaugurated by Lord Curzon. Most of the sculptures in the museum are of the Kushana period (c. 1-176 CE), but there are also Maurya, Sunga, Gupta, and early medieval sculptures. Unfortunately, no effort has been made to modernize the museum.
