Abstract:The rich hoard of Harappan jewellery recovered from Mandi (Muzaffarnagar district, UP) in May 2000 is the largest find of ancient jewellery in India. The material, hoarded in two copper containers, includes various types of gold, banded agate, onyx, and copper beads. An excavation conducted by the ASI at the site in August 2000 revealed potsherds, bricks, terracotta sling balls, animal figurines, and more beads.
