Abstract:The article discusses the spread of the Indus civilization sites in the Ganga-Yamuna doab: Alamgirpur, Hulas, Doodhli, Bargaon, Mandoli, Naya Bans, and Mandi, among others. The cultural artefacts showing this spread include painted vessels, an inscribed mould, cattle and animal bones. The Harappan culture of the doab was predominantly rural in character.
