Biography: S.S. Sakri
Mr. S.S.Sakri was born at Bagalkot in 1907. I 1930 he graduated from the Deccan College. Then he made a debut into public life. He is the Director of the Karnatak Insurance Co. He represents the Karnatic Chamber of Commerce on the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce.
In 1930 he participated in the C.D movement. He has made a munificent gift of Rs. 25,000 to the Benaras Hindu University for scientific research in Sanskrit. He was the Chairman of the Reception Committee of the Weavers Conference held at Gulegegudda. He is elected a member of the A.I.C.C
He has hitched his star to all that is noblest and best in human endeavour. His passion for service is intense. His varied culture, his fervent zeal and his genial nature have endeared him to the people.
