| Abstract: | The Keladi rulers transferred their capitals from Keladi to Ikkeri Bidanur and Kavaledurga or Bhuvanagiri for safety reasons. The places chosen have been determined by their geomorphological and hydrological features. The author makes scientific analysis of the capitals and forts which encircled them and the importance of their locations from the strategic point view.
