Abstract:Deals with the life and achievement of Ambil Narasimha Iyengar who inspired by the works of Karve and Ranade in Maharashtra worked in Mysore.Started the Maharani`s school, which became a college in 1902, started widow`s home at Mysore and Bangalore, where the young widows were trained to become nurses and midwives.He donated huge amounts from his own pockets and helped these women stand on their own feet with self respect.
