911-01 from the Subcontinent's Perspective Tehelka.com: Eye
Witness Report of an Afghan Refugee Camp Indian Express: India
and America -- both have been victims of terrorism, but their responses to terroism has
been very different. Perspective from Rural India: I spoke via phone with a long time friend in India, and apparently the town of Honavar is waiting the news that Afghanistan has been bombed. "They have suspended training in the terrorist camps of PoK (Pakistan ocupied Kashmir)" he told me " and they have gone into hiding". Apparently, astrological predictions on what is going to happen to Pakistan now are selling like hot cakes in India. Many magazines have brought out astrological suppliments... "Some people in India want to offer Kashmir as a base for military action to the USA" my friend told me --"But we have heard that once the Americans come, they never leave!"
