Camera Monkey Runs Out of Film ! My mother, now in Honavar told me on the telephone that Kamat Sr. has run out of film! "In the last ten days, he has been on an photographic rampage!" she said. My parents have discovered a Hero-pillar (not just a Hero-stone, but a Hero-pillar) with an elaborate inscription. They also paid visits to the homes of scholar Gowrish Kaikini, Yakshagana maestro Keremane Shivaram Hegde, historian G.S. Dixit, and met many other intellectuals in the last week. Kamat also got an fine opportunity to photograph a cock-fight, many Ganapati making professionals, and few newly discovered archaeological artifacts. All this in the last ten days. No wonder father ran out of film!
