New Year's Links A card I won't be recieving this year. "The New Year keeps on comin'" -- a famous New Year's Poem by D.R. Bendre. (pardon the my translation errors, if you know the original poem Something I learnt today: Russian Christmas is actually celebrated on New Year's Eve! After the communists banned (1917) Christmas, the Russians started celebrating Christmas in secret, during the New Years Eve party. It was only since 1992 that Christmas is allowed in Russia.
