Obituary: Kannika Hegde | | I was sad to hear (from my mom, via phone) that Kannika Hegde of Honavar passed away last week. She was a poetess --wrote short verses. But I know her mostly as a friend, an activist and a patron of literature.

Poem by Kannika Hegde
(Translation is mine)

Story is actually a verse
with rythm and beats

But it reveals to the determined

She has everything
except the strings of heart are not connected.
That's what they say.
