Winds of Change in India During my years in India, it was OK for Indians (especially Muslims) to cheer for Pakistan, or protest again Indian Government's maneuvers against Pakistan. It really was -- it was not considered anti-Indian or unpatriotic.
But in the background of a very popular, right-wing government and a shocking terrorist attack in Pulwama the situation has drastically changed. I am flooded with messages from Muslims in India condemning the terrorists. I am perplexed to see these messages. I am happy because the Muslims are finally distinguishing themselves from the terrorists. I am very sad that they are having to do it. There are 120 Million Muslims in India. They are Indians by any measure. Why do they have to prove their patriotism by condemning terrorism? The Muslims are also victims of terrorism; probably more so. Who in the world wants a war between India and Pakistan? * The Hindus of the world who are tired of Islamic terrorism The arms merchants Groups internal to India (anti-Modi) and Pakistan (anti-Imran Khan) the correct answer is -- all of the above
