Say No To PDF Websites | |
Increasingly I am finding that lot of companies are adding PDF contents to the web, if the content was designed to be printed and then used, as in a form, I understand, but brochures and textual information? Definitely a no no in my book. You won't believe how many websites I go to, download a PDF and discovered that the content could have been delivered to me much faster and much efficiently if it was in HTML format. Use less PDF and more HTML. That's my goal for this Friday. It will also help encounter the increasing PDF spam, because all companies have learnt to deal with HTML spam and have processes to detect and eliminate HTML spam, but nobody seems to have a PDF spam detection in place... Surprises in HotMail Completely dissatisfied with the Search functionality in Yahoo Mail, I am increasingly using Hotmail (yes, it is back on "Essentials" on the right) and I am finding that the search within Hotmail is rather excellent! Also excellent is the spam detection algorithm within Hotmail. So far no PDF spam in my HotMail box..
