Death of Two Masters I am back after a month long visit to Dharwad and Honavar. Met old friends, initiated projects for Kamat Foundation and learnt Goan Konkani, which was the highlight of the trip.Gadiyaram Ramakrishna Sharma Upon my return, I was saddened to find a Telugu notification mentioning the Vaikuntha Samaradhana (Death Ceremony or Celebration of Life Ceremony) of Gadiyaram Ramakrishna Sharma. It is signed by his eight children who are named after great sages and icons of learning. (Their names are: Sankhyayana, Bhargava, Maitreya, Yajnyavalkya, Shrivatsa, Lalitamba, Kameswari, and Sharada !) Sharmaji was one of the most learned scholars I have met in my life and it is a great loss to the world of Indian classicals. R. Seshasastry
