T.N. Ramakrishna Reddi
Born in Chittoor in 1890, Mr. Reddi passed his B.L in 1919 and started practice as a Vakil. He began taking active interest in public life and in 1923 he was elected the Vice- President or the Taluq Board which office he held till 1928. In 1924 he became the Director of the Co-Operative Town Bank and District Cooperative Bank. He was thrice appointed Honorary Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
In 1925 he became a member of the Chittur Municipality and the next year he was elected to the District Local Board. In 1928 he shifted his head quarters Constituency. He joined the National Party in Assembly and acted as its Secretary.
In 1934 he toured Europe as a member of the Empire Parliamentary Association. On his return he was elected President of the District Board Chittoor in 1936.
His sympathy for the poor is almost a weakness with him. In spite of his various activities he always finds time to attend to the suffering and the needy, and always has a word of cheer for all who come in contact with him. His genial smile is his greatest asset.
He contested the elections on the Congress ticket and represents Chittoor in the Madras Legislative Assembly.
