K. Kamaraj
Mr. Kumaraswami Kamraj Nadar was born at Virudhanagar. In 1921 he entered into active politically conscious. He courted imprisonment during the Civil Disobedience movement. In the last elections he threw the Justice Party overboard.
He was accused in the Virudhanagar Bomb Case. The protracted trail ended in their acquittal. For many years he is a member of the Working Committee of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee. In 1936 he became its secretary. He was also a member of the Local Boards Sub-Committee. He is elected to the Madras Assembly.
He has rendered much service to the public by his resolute efforts to improve the amenities of the poor.
